After nearly three decades, President Robert Mugabe’s grip on power in Zimbabwe is loosening. His Zanu-PF party lost control of parliament in the 29 March elections – but the presidential race ended in stalemate and it is the run-off against opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai that will finally decide if the country’s prospects are about to undergo a change for the better.
